My BT Mouse series x4000b is a piece of garbage. NO matter what pc I connect it to, No matter if windows, linux, OS 10.x, this thing will go to sleep and drop it's bluetooth connection. Even with the drivers that I get, which are actually for the x6000b, it still will not reconnect after it goes to sleep, to save the battery life. It has done this since the beginning, and I just figured I would use it, and I had hopes for a fix or a patch or something, after paying $40 bucks for it at Best Buy. I have used it with:
Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8 and 8.1. Even on a Microsoft Surface 8.1
Mac OS 10 Tiger
Distro Ubuntu Kylin 14.04 Linux
It does not use a passkey, so that is irrelevant. I have had as many as 4 different ways to connect it, but any that use a passkey, fail. This is due to the fact that no authentication can take place, since there is no way to 'enter' the key on a mouse. When I add it using no passkay, I am back to square one. Walk away, come back in 5 minutes, no mouse. Need to add it all over again.
Give me a fix for this, or I will never buy another HP peripheral.
